Í framhaldi af..., Listasafn Einars Jónssonar 2019. Video - innsetning

Í verkinu Í framhaldi af... er tekist á við táknheiminn og lífspekina sem er gegnumgangandi stef í verkum Einars Jónssonar. Innblástur verksins er arkitektúr hringstigans sem rís í gegnum bygginguna líkt og hryggjarsúla. Stiginn leiðir okkur ekki aðeins í gegnum húsið, heldur einnig í gegnum verk og ævi listamannsins sjálfs. Stofur og svefnherbergi listamannsins og konu hans voru á efstu hæð hússins. Á fyrstu hæð sýningarsalur og á jarðhæð vinnustofa og eldhús. Spíralformi hringstigans er varpað upp í loft sem framhaldi af hinum táknræna óendanleika spíralsins.

In the Video - Installation To be Continued… I did explore the symbolism and the theosophy in the works of the Sculptor Einar Jonsson. The piece is inspired by the spiral stairs which lies like a spine through the building. The stairs take you through the building with the artists life and work swirling around it. The spiral form of the endless moving staircase is projected on to the ceiling as a continuity transcending Jonssons lifework into eternity.
